I'm using a pretty hard driving style called Blues Rock at 116. It works great for west coast swing. I am using horn sections ala Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson with trombone and lead guitar solos in a bluesy, funky, jazzy way.

I use this style on several west coast swing songs including Mustang Sally and Watermelon Man. I also use it on some Triple Swing like Boogie Shoes.

The dance floor doesn't lie dance

WOW! Am I out of it or what?
I always thought that West Coast Jazz or West Coast Swing was connected with musicians like Paul Desman, Dave Brubeck, Zoot Sims, Al Conn, Woody Herman, Benny Goodman. What am I missing here? Not being smart just want to try to keep up and stay current.

"You've got mail" tells me that someone has sent meaningful info, perhaps an answer to the poster. I think it's a courtesy to him and us to let us know we can stop searching our files. I like it.

Eddie,

Isn't it kind of hard to swing with your walker?
