Exactly...thing is, those who simply have to have 76 keys, would not have settled for a 61-note Tyros4, no matter how great it sounded...they'd be more likely to buy a Korg PA2XPro, a second hand Roland G-70, or a new or used Audya.

Since everyone raves about these instruments, I doubt if anyone would be dissatisfied with such a purchase, or suddenly want a 76-note TyrosPro, if such an instrument were to be produced..

It's odd to see such news allegedly coming from a Yamaha demonstrator, as I would suppose they would have signed an NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement).

Well...I found this tidbit a little later in that Korg Thread!
'i know yamaha could build the stuff i made up, but they wont untill they realise it is to late and they lost their leading position to a company that is developing innovative stuff.'

So, Bachus...you were just playing games?

Go to bed tonight withot your supper!

I can't believe that anyone would have given this utterly impossible idea the time of day.

But if you DID.... come on down to Florida. I've got some interesting land deals you might be interested in! Got a good line on some infrastructure up for sale connecting Manhattan and Brooklyn, too.

Bring lots of cash!

I admit it! I fell for it. I guess I'm the type of person that thinks there is always hope that people and/or company's can see the light!

I do know one thing for sure, IF Yamaha wanted to do that list, all but a couple things could be done reasonably quickly and would be hits.

Diki,
Well, I wuld like 1 acre on the intercoastal in a top area...I have $150k to spend. Or, I'll trade ya for a nice place here in the country!

Spoke to a Yamaha demonstrator over the weekend, his name was Bert....

he told me that Yamaha would have some surprises for everyone at Musikmesse...

-Tyros 4 rack
-Tyros 4 pro with 76 keys

-Cubase based studio workstation with buildin cubase and VST support... Including a hardware upgrade program for the future...
-VST version of the MOTIF XF, even works with the KARMA software
-VST versions of many of their previous synths
-VSTversion of Tyros 4
-Everything else needed to build your own dreamsystem.

-Modular solo synth with all possible synthesis engines that lets you combine building blocks of the different engines in a modualr sense...

Everyone must be prepared to be surprised in Frankfurt....

Dennis

VST Tyros 4 , I would buy in an instant....but I doubt it's true.

The studio workstation is also v interesting....
