In the back row were tenor sax player George Shelby and trumpet player Harry Kim, both customers at my music store. These guys are the top guys in LA. Both play on American Idol when they use the band.

Al, I agree..and CA made ammends for her Anthem flub...

as for the quality of music...Barb still has it (one of my favorites..maybe the best female pure singer of all times)..but when Jagger is the highlight act of the show (Need to give him credit}...Overall with the exception of some country artist....I thought the music ..plain sucks..

I died laughing hysterically watching Cee-Lo sing his song; here is this huge man in colored feathers, chainmail hat, and silver breast plate singing at the piano. I couldn't stop laughing......

I too think CA's performance last night has finally made up for her Super Bowl National Anthem Flub up! We still love you Christina!

BTW ... Midi Hits has "Forget You" for sale, for those who are interested ...

I thought CA's performance was not nearly as good as Jennifer Hudson. That woman has some pipes. For all that she has been through over the last few years, she really shows alot of class.

I have a friend of mine who has played trumpet with Dr.Dre a few time.

BTW.. hasn't "need you now" been out for like 18 months ?

I used some good foresight and had a golf tournament recorded. D.A. Points won and he and his partner, Bill Murray (remember Caddy Shack?) won the pro-am portion. Neither tried to sing, and neither used vulgarity when the camera was on.

Other than the anthem fiasco I do love hearing CA sing. She is one of most talented singers around today. She is as comfortable with pop as she is with jazz. There aren't many recent vocalists that can make the same claim.
