Because I'm a gadget freak??? Because there are lots of controllers out there with USB ports (for computer communication and data storage), because one small wire (connector) is better than two large ones (and faster), because it would allow me more flexiblity with module placement, because............

Aren't wireless mics pretty much the standard these days, at least on stage and on TV? Besides, the question was IF you could do it, not WHY. That's answering a question with a question. So do we have to justify something now before we can get an answer? You may have noticed that I am not the only one curious about this.

Oh, to heck with it, I'll just ask Ian, HE's an expert.
