I am not sure really, just waiting what Ian will have to say I guess.........Smile...........
I'm not sure either, John...I am rather concerned, however, that you did not say anything......... I will say, I thought the performer looked like he was trying to climb into the PA3Xpro's display screen at several points during the presentation, and, I have seen and heard a lot of demonstrations, and this is certainly one of them. btw, i think the player have a serious visual handicap, but he plays very well.
Impuls You know, Impuls, I just realized that might be the problem, and my sincere apologies to the player, and to all reading and watching, for my remark above, if that is the case. And yes, he plays very well indeed...he's the best demonstrator I've seen them use so far. Ian

Yes, before I forget... Thanks Scott, for finding these videos. From our conversations, I understand you feel much like I do in regards to Korg, and that we both hope that the PA3Xpro is a success for them. I'm still looking at these videos, and listening to the demos on the Korg site, and I'm much like Nigel; I haven't really formed an opinion yet...but, there's something missing with the instrument, and I can't quite say what it is yet. Perhaps with more time, it will reveal itself. In the meantime, it's great to have more demos to examine. Thanks again, Ian

Come on.
You are all so polite, it was tosh, for a top of the range KB, the poor chap obviously had visual problems, the main object of the exercise was to listen to the real quality, is that what you heard, I didn't, these are missed opportunities. I think we need to just give in, go do the music shack when one comes in, having said that Telmo snippets are excellent. You know these people perhaps do think that someone is going to record their performances and stick them on SZ, if they saw the result they would perhaps cringe.
Tony

I just listened to this (both demos) 3 times with my beyerdynamic DT 770MR phones. With the exception of a couple poorly chosen lead voices....I think the PA3 sounds superb, even without dircet audio recording on the demos.
There is much more to say...but I am still in a mode that is neutral to it.
This is not IMHO, a PA2XPRO with a few tweaks...it has lots of potential. Quesion is how does it really sound live and...how good are the voices THAT I care about??
Lee, I agree the PA3Xpro may not potentially be a PA2Xpro with a few tweaks, but it seems a bit difficult to tell from what has been shown/heard on-line. I've listened to demos of both, and I'm still not quite convinced, although there are some great new voices and styles, to be sure. I suppose the only way you will know for sure is to actually spend some quality time playing a PA3Xpro, and it looks like your wish will come true in May. That is good news indeed. I am looking forward to your impressions of the instrument. Ian
