there has been concern with these 2 updates AJAM and Ketron's,
and quesstions as to what one has,
what the other has
whether they overlap,
do we need both?

i thought this deserved it's own topic...

so here's my take:
i don't think AJ's update includes those new PEN styles, the new drums, the new guitars, new sounds, ......AJ?

maybe AJ's Just has the free Ketron OS ONLY 4.2, which i'd assume deals with bugs/improvements/fixes etc...

so in a nutshell, maybe what Ketron will have for free, AJ already has in AJAM

and what's in Ketron PEN, AJ does not have in AJAM

furthermore, it seems like AJAMSONIC comes in 3 flavors,
one with just software, one with hardware upgrade, some with both,,,

not sure how EACH of these 3 will overlap with Ketrons...

perhaps AJ can take a little time to describe all our options so we know what exactly EACH update offers, Ketron's 2 update options and AJAMSONIC's 3 update,
and where these updates overlap each other,

and perhaps their ETA and $$$

of course the best solution is to have together
first the 4.2a.. that will be free (next year put on web ?ahah)
then the AJ hardware modification (I think he put the 256 ram too)
and then the styles , the audio drum, guitar and sounds from ketron and AJ too.. of course (depend how much total cost)
the styles of ketron and AJ has audio drum
the new sounds from ketron are .ins then must be load
maybe somme drum kit they have changed in rom ?
what I don't understand and AJ not answere me is
wich format are AJ's sounds ? .ins ? or what ?
because he talk about can use to styles too
but of course need to be load (talk about 4 se voice with hardware modification)... then the ram will be full end ?
is AJ hardware modification the same will be ketron 256 ram or what ?
close the talkinw about styles (need only demo of course) I think we need to know about hardare, type os new sounds (wich format ecc)... then last the price of course after know and listen all

I wait for these upgrades eagerly, too, I have the same questions.
What interests me the most is hardware modification – is it only RAM (newer audio cards already support a slot for 256M) or is it something else that can't be done at home on our own?

It is a pity AJ did not come to the Ketron stand to say Hello whilst he was in Germany, its always good to meet other Ketron retailers.

On the subject of AJ's software, if any UK customers install this unofficial "upgrade" it will void their warranty on support of software and hard drive contents (although they will still be assisted in the case of a hardware failure with the exception of the sound board if AJ's software modifies flash rom)

BTW, what's warranty on AUDYA4? typical 1 year?
