Ian! The "Easy 8" became a "must have" for Fran and I as soon as it came out! I could play almost any request with that one batch....I'd love to have all those styles on my PA800 right now.

I still use my own made up Fake Books for gigging, and I usually wrote the name of the style used, and the tempo, at the top of the music.

Some tunes I've had for quite awhile, and it's interesting to see some of the old styles...same tunes, but different arrangers...with some tunes there are as many as four styles crossed out as I added a new 'board.

The Easy Eight covered a lot of territory...I believe the styles were as follows, Swing2, 8beat3, 16beat3, Disco3, Waltz4, 2beat, Latinbeat and Slowrock2.

The Waltz4 was really nice...simple and effective, and I used Slowrock2 for Floyd Cramer's Last Date.

Yep, you could almost play every tune with just that card.

I still have the Easy eight card, I will see about converting it to Korg PA800 format..If I recall that was the old LA format map..you might have to re assign some instruments..

If anyone actually buys the Roland thumb drive let us know how it sounds on the BK7-m. Would be nice to hear some demos.

I just stumbled onto some demos of the BK-7M styles.. an man must I say - it sounds awesome! Much better than I thought! The drums are so perfectly live, I can almost feel the cymbals! I think this beast will be a great tool! I can't wait till I get my hands on one!

Here are the demos:

I just finished talking to Roland Support. I wanted to delete a song from my user list and there is no way to do that. The Roland support rep is emailing Roland to find out how to manage the user programs you create. Seems like once you create one it can't be deleted - at east for now.

The demo sounded close to my Audya.
