Can't download 4.2a from the Italian site - link broken, anybody else got that?? Carl (UK)

The link worked for me. I downloaded the installer but haven't gone any further as the instructions are confusing.

Still bugy in pattern edit or style view mode, you can not change grooves..

I am going to wait and see a while before I load the update, let you do it all first!

That is more then disaster.After more then one year weighting Ketroners relise an update who is more then bad.
First inpreshion:
-Audya load two User Guitar(shuld one in one place).The same old story.
-Audya frize if you want to load some style from USB stick(you nead to rebut).
-Audya stell not recognize Sus-Dim and ather chords who are a little complikated then Major and Minor chords in live Guitar section.Midi sounds who sobstitute Audio sound is on to low volume level and practically you cant hear them.

My Audya goes directly to Italy tomorrow.What is anaf, is anaf.

I loaded 4.2a in an Audya4. So far no issues.

I can load styles from an USB stick. Style play. No issues there.
I think that Dusan have a very defective keyboard. I agree with him. Send it back to Italy.

anyone know if this fixes the AUDIO timings on the Audio grooves?
MANY styles have/had problems when audio repeats after the 4-8-12 measures etc

Find my first Bug:

BUG !!!

I you import a file from another Ketron Device or a third party style into you hard disk and you try to update that file by pushing EDIT, the style file read as corrupted and you can't edit or play it again!!!

Does this update include the new styles and so on, I thought Ketron were releasing a mem chip for this? Please tell me that those that are experiencing probs ie bugs have defectice kboards, it would be a shame if this update hasn't corrected the problems

i have a question:

was this 4.2a tested before it was released?

or did Ketron get tired of us asking for it,
and they just went ahead and released whatever they had to shut us all up?

If everything is true what I'm reading here

a.) AJ must inform Ketron - as they don't read in Synthzone
b.) it is srongly recommended that Ketron offtake this version
from the market.

AND PLEASE: TEST IT BEFORE RELEASING IT

Really don't know what they doing all the day.....

I have never seen a specific list of fixes nor improvements to decide if it is worth taking a chance on.

I have no known problems and don't want to add any. I am waiting to see also.

Hi,

in the german version it´s written a bit more detailed

"...The keyboard is now ready for the actual update and turn it off and back on again while holding "F10" and "UNPLUGGED" Keys for 3 seconds...;)

Now you can release the both keys and wait.

Keyboard will reboot, a message "Updating..." appears.

Finally you get "Press th OK-Button" to reboot.

That´s it.

Now I´m checking for errors

I use my Audya 4 so seldom I don't know if I have any bugs or not. Don't know abt the update???

I was hoping this upgrade added one touch settings and new styles. Maybe I'm getting it confused with AJ's upgrade!

I have been hoping some power users would come forward that have not had any previous problems, and tell us how good it is or, at least what it does.

Part of me says " If it ain't broke--" and the other part would hate to miss out on something. I guess the answer is probably, in time.

I don't expect any syles or major improvements as I thought AJ's programs offered these. I expect Ketron to make the OS work as originally promised and nothing more. Anymore than this is gravy.

Because the issue involving third party styles (if read then as corrupted after you try to modify them) and styles from SD1 or Midjay, I took out 4.2a and re-installed 4.1b.
Take in account that this 4.2a release only involve "bugs fixes", but because poor testing is creating new ones. The new styles and sounds will be added with the Pen Drive soon to be release.
I really don't care about the new styles and sounds if I can't modify what already have from other vendors, because 4.2a read them as corrupted.
I am seriously considering a Korg PA3x. I never have issues like this in my Korg PA800.
My recomendation is to wait and DON'T INSTALL 4.2a for now. Release 4.1b is the best so far.

my question...

will the PEN UPDATE include this 4.2a?
or must we update 2x? first this 4.2a, then the PEN?

i wish they would give us more details on these updates...
what it is, who it's for (who needs to update), what it fixes, what's new in it, etc...

NEW UPDATE 4.2a

1.Remarkable Improvement on Midi Clock send external Sync.
2.The present Play List is now annulled as soon a .mid, .wav or .mp3 is saved.
3.Whenever a Single or Block Registration is loaded, a Program Change is sent.
4.From this version on it will be no longer necessary to manually deactivate the Mp3 Transposer to avoid that while changing the Tempo of the Style being executed the pitch is modified. From now on the instrument does everything automatically.
5.During the Swell to Right the General Volume value that was active when this function was selected, remains in the memory.
6.The Footswitch was enriched with the following controls: Back/Forward Tab, Enter, File Up/Down, Sub Reg. Up/Down as well as all Tabs from F1 to F10.
7.New Reverb, Phaser and Flanger effects.
8.The Global Search now works correctly in the Registration area.
9.The User Audio Drums in the Registration can now be handled correctly.

Unfortunately it nothing says about the new bugs (which are probably also about 10)
