Bill does the Pegasus Wing sound close to the video's below because that sounds really good.

I can't find good sounding videos of the Wing on youtube and there are no demos on the website of Wersi.

I have heard that the Wersi Wing sounds great, the problems I see they have selling it is their past record. Also if its on the market for £2500.00 and it beats the hell out of everthing around how can the other justify price x 2. But at £2500 if it's a pile of tosh, it would not break the bank and the grandchildren could always play on it when they come for the weekend. It's sad really the whole thing about Wersi but you can only blame the people who run it. No one goes on SZ about waiting for one because the market share is so low, lets wait and see it might take the World by storm, what do you think.

Hi FransN

I have not heard the Wing so cannot say how the sound compares.

The demos on You Tube are of the early prototype, the production models have the sound and styles set up by Music Store, as it will be competing with all the other arrangers that they sell. (Yamaha, Korg etc.)

I believe demos are currently being produced, so hopefully it will not be too long before they become available.

Best way is to contact your local Wersi Service agent http://www.wersi-promotion.nl/ who will probably have more details.

Regards

Bill

Hi Tony

Those that currently own one, have heard one or have one on order say they are great, however until I actually hear or play one, I cannot make any comments.

Yes, Wersi in the past did not have a good representation for service and marketing. (They were always operating on a shoe string budget) which is why they went under.

Music Store however (Which now owns the brand name) has a wealth of experience with service and marketing so hopefully they will be able to bring back the Wersi name to what it once was. (It’s not going to happen overnight though)

So far since Music Store acquired the Wersi name, I have to say it seems to be getting there, but there is still some way to go.

Why don’t you take up the offer that Peter http://www.wersi.uk.com/ gave you a few months ago, that way you will get 1st hand experience of the Wing.

Regards

Bill

Makes no difference who owns WERSI because they still have all the same problems regarding bringing a realistic product to the market mere mortals can afford.

Take the Pegasus that's adverted at ONLY £2,250.

It still works out more expensive than any Arranger on the market because you have to buy additional software activation codes to access the full Arranger functions and so on that are standard on any other arranger.

Unlocking the arranger and Rhythm designer alone throws another £717 ( $1,183 ) onto the price and they are basic core functions that all arrangers MUST come with. If you want to make your own sounds, that will cost you another £400 ($660) which again is another core basic function all arrangers should come with.

So basic keyboard + Arranger + Rhythm Designer + Ability to make your own sounds...

Total Price.. £3376 ( $5572 ).... so far. There are other items you will likely need to activate.

Regards
James

Hi James

The items you mention only relate to OAS 7 instruments owned by existing users, New OAS 7 instruments get everything but the Rhythm designer as standard.
The Sound factory option allows you access to core features that were previously only available to the manufacturer, and just adds these to the sound editing functions already available on OAS 7 instruments as standard.

The Wing is a different OAS system, so the only options are sound packs; everything else is included as standard in the price.

Hope this clears up the confusion.

Bill

Bill,

I have had a long chat with Peter and when he gets his stock of Wings he his bring one down to see me. I hope they do Ok it does look good, but James has it on his Radar bleeping away, ready to push the destruct button and he is a man of experience, do you think he is talking tosh, tell us if you think he is, he won't mind if he's got it all wrong. Wersi cannot do much worse than MS can they, MS are no prime example of all bright and beautiful , might see more Wings than MS.

The Wing cost 2500 Euro in the Netherlands. I paid 2777 Euro for my new soon coming PA3x 61 so that's not x 2. Probably the only thing that is better on the Wing are the organ sounds. That is also the main thing I like about the videos I added. The organ sounds are fantastic on these instruments. Some people on the Dutch forum have played the Pegasus Wing and they say it doesn't even come close to a Tyros. So I am curious how it sound but not really interested in one.

Hi Tony

James was basing his observations of the old and defunct Wersi Company, and assumed Music Store would follow the same path with them, however it is a completely different setup with Music Store. (Forget Wersi of old (As it doesn’t exist anymore) as it is now just Music Store who bought the brand name Wersi)

NOTE: My previous post shows how the options fall with current instruments

Hope this makes things clearer

Regards

Bill
