Good one Paul...this one obviously features the sax player.
Did you record the accompaniment track first, using a style, and then you two played over it?
Ian Thanks for listening Ian! Yes, I recorded first the accompaniment using the Tyros 2 "16th Beat" Then we overdubed the sax and GEM digital piano at the same time. We didn't quite follow the form right, but oh well... Then I overdubed acoustic congas, timbales/cowbell, claves, wind chimes and cymbal rolls. Funny, Jason said he never played Europa. He can read well but I didn't have a chart so I taught him the melody by ear, then he just ran with it!

It worked great, Paul, and, of course, not following the form is the idea of the "arranger"...you make the music your own, and put your own stamp on it. I listened to it several times...very impressive, and a fine recording. Ian Ian
