At a store near to you, don't it just sound good Scott and out of the box, hey is there a youtube of one being un-boxed, I would love to see that wow, Audya comes in the biggest box of any KB, and I am not wrong on this one. Box sizes in descending order and size does matter: Audya, what you have just seen and heard T4, with internal HD 250 KB Wing , box is empty does not include KB, KB comes in a Poly bag a year latter, software in 2013, just when warranty runs out Pa3x , bag of spare leds, screwdriver, etc Kronos, the jury is out MS,goodies include a pair of white trainer, used pair of white shorts and a 20000 page program manual The MS is purported to be the most powerful KB ever but it comes in the smallest box, the manual comes in a box bigger than the KB. Seriously, the Audya in the right hands is a serious machine. There is one old Yamaha KB that doubled up has garden barbie or griddle, can anyone remember which one it was???

Very good improvisation, but robotic sounding WHAT! Your Choking, I am gobsmacked, wheres the box, Doh I though it away. Or right what speaker are you using to listen to it, ipad headset??? David Clark avionics head set??? This guy plays a real instrument http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9sirG0UEGg&feature=related Sorry to say that was crap programing, the fingering was terible, no wonder Toyota had to recall so many faulty cars, its a wonder the thing didn't fall over. Anyway what as this got to do with an Audya and a T4 like the hell I can't figure out. It sounded a little like LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY to me and certainly nothing like The Shadow Of Your Smile!!! The Shadow Of Your Smile would need to run smooth, I doubt that thing could play it that way. Oh just got it robotic sounding....

In my own opinion, all comes down to the Player, the keyboard (any brand) can have incredible sounds, features and resources that the player may or not use, but, there is one thing, you must play with Feeling.
I have hear players like Hector Olivera and other that I did hear live in the Phoenix area with the same (expensive) instrument and the results where totally opposite, one sounded great, the other, well I rather not say, needless to say, is NOT the instrument, is how is been played. I am NOT judging anybody, the Audya demo has great sounds, but, in my opinion, the player (very good), needed to play with more feeling, more expressive, a song like this, I would consider playing it at a slower tempo, other wise sound like you are in a running competition and is hard to put feeling in something that fast. My comments are only my observations, I have no intentions to offend anyone.

I remember that session - Gerry had a throat infection, so I filled in at the audio desk while he shot the video. Nice session. (LOVE the bari!) A charming photo, David. I have seen a lot of baritone sax players in my day, and you are certainly one of them. Do you have any recordings of you on sax? And, last but certainly not least, how is your sax life these days? Ian

Ian Ian, Daves just stood there for the photo, "A charming photo", am I losing something in the translation or are my eyes going, anyway this thread started with an Audya with someone playing "The shadow of your smile". Scott next time you post just post the photo please detached the sound, don't tell us what the guy is playing then it will keep us guessing, a bit like Dave’s photo what the hell was he playing. In the UK most of us are a bit reserved and we wouldn’t normally put our photos up in public for all to see and perhaps have others laugh at. I suppose we are all different, what the hell and if you want to show your mug shot I don’t have a problem, I mean look at Nedim’s photo, he had a big paper round when he was a boy. Donny’s been photographed more than the Queen of England, he changes his photo with the wind! Hey can we get the thread back onto the Audya? Cheers Tony

Hey Tony, I posted that picture as a joke ... in good fun. Here in America, we post lots of photos publicly - it's called advertising. (someone told me it was a good thing) ... Not sure how your Queen feels about Donny's pictures, but hers sell like hotcakes around here. We just love you guys and all your royal antics! Now, what about that Audya, again? Thanks Dave, Let's get back on track with Auyda now, but before just a few points, I don't have any photos of Queeny in the house I don’t mind them but I am not a royalist. I have just a few photos of Donny on the mantle to keep the kids away from the fire, one of him on the front door and side gate with him in camouflage to keep intruders out. BTW Dave in the UK if someone calls themselves Uncle and he is not really an Uncle it’s a bit dodgy, it’s about extra sax life, probably does mean anything in the USA, if you want an explanation I can email it to you. I would NOT put my photo up and call myself Uncle Tony locally; I might have men knocking on the door with a baseball bat! If I was posting photos on SZ I would get the best looking one, not a side profile a front shot is good and breathing in at the time, impossible playing the sax. I have put some weight on and it’s hells difficult to get off, your head shot Dave is one of the better ones. Good angle with you head tipped to the side and we don’t know how many different attires you have, it makes a statement, I am Dave and that’s all we need to know. Scott looks like is is getting ready to jump, but that can’t be so he is smiling at the camera and he is still here! I think something’s are rather different UK/USA perhaps Hammer will know more about it, he visits a lot. Cheers Tony
