The update scared me too, but it is easy. The pen drive comes with 4.2b.

there have been loads of demos of the new software since Frankfurt and we featured it heavily on the UK roadshow too.

You don't have to install 4.2b from the website to use the USB stick (it is included). Audya 4, 5 and 8 users can upgrade without thinking, but 76 key audya owners must have installed the 2010 USB update (because of the huge wavetable changes).

The UK should have the updates ready to send by the end of next week, not sure about other countries.

I just talked to Frankieve today and he said he doesn't have the update yet. Should be hear soon.

so does this mean Frank ordered them already?

As I said, I talked to him yesterday and the distributor hasn't got them in, but he will notify us as soon as they do.

Thanks Bernie and townwheeldude , I will wait for the pen drive and go from there. So easy even a caveman can do it. Why am I beginning to feel so old?

As I said before,,, why oh why Ketron wouldn't you have done an online order for the pen drives for customers, and if you wanted the dealers to get some of the action you could give them a dividend from the sales. Once again it's an easy process, and I can't understand why there are always roadblocks to getting updates out there, particulary to make it fair on everyone, ie who gets it first and so on.

I know I'm going to be hearing from players who will be getting it first, and instead of being excited, i'll be angry that the processes are unfair.

Is the last 4.2b the same update as from the new pendrive?
