Yes, I see how you managed..good thinking.
Actually the setup.exe function (windows installer (MSI) is different in W7 and that is why SOME programs don't install/work.
For some programs a full MSi (setup.exe ) is not required (unless they use the Win registry).

you credit me with too much intelligence as far getting this to work goes . haa haa
I'm a computer dummy, I know how to use my software programs, that's about it.
Sheer utter fluke. I just thought , if I can't load it, I'll try copying a working copy from my other pc into my new one.
Worst case scenario, I'd have to delete it, if it didn't work.
So, with what you wrote below, it may be possible that a couple of my other really old programs just may work also?
The others weren't important to me like this one, I use it for my conversions.
