It seems that Ketron simply ignores XD3/9 users!!!! We still use software version 2.1A after more that three years from the first release of the XD series!!!
Well.... thank you very much Ketron for a ¨software version stil full of bugs!!! I don´t realy need any more new functions that are genetrating exrta problems for the keyboard´s processor, but only a reliable performance!

Please tell us more about these bugs in the original xd3 software program .

I keep being told by accordionist's that this is the expander module to use with my Concerto digital accordion .

But I'm a bit concerned to change from Technics were I've experienced no problems

Man I was thinking of getting the Vega and heard it is the same as the XD9, does that mean the Vega has problems with the operating system.

Sorry for the late reply! My opinnion about Ketron XD series is that the software still is in a Beta version. If I am wrong than it should be at most version nr. 1.5 . If you use styles, the main probelm is the poliphony wich when is full the bass notes are the first to be droped!!!!
2 - the 'online efect' section does not work, as well as the piano sustain button.
3 - The split point almost always jumps to undesirable areas when switching between song and style play.
4 - When recording songs, the result is a recording that does not have the original dinamic of the actual performance.
My guess is that Ketron simply abandoned the XD/Vega series because as you can see there is only OS version 2.1A availlable and there is stil a lot to fix. Above I have only specified some of the problems you encounter when using styles, but when you use song play there is a real pain!!!! I have also a long list of bugs when using midifiles as I mostly do. I perform every day 5 hours a day and there is almost every week at least once when my XD3 freezes and shows the 'in/out disk error' message.
Í am still using XD3 because there is no other good sound module availlable on the market.
I have also heard that Midijay has exactly the same problem with the hard drive so there is no point for me to buy one.
I wish you guys good luck, as I really like the sound of Ketron but the software really sucks!!!

I totally agree with Flavie.I have 2.1a operating system on my XD3 and it sucks.I'm experiencing almost all problems written above ,plus I have harmony on all 4 voices although the software allows harmonisation on only one voice in every single program,according to the user manual.XD users don't need new functions,we need software that works exactly as written in the user manual and is 100% reliable.Ketron,hire somebody to write the software for you,if you can't.Please!?!?!

Hello Fellow XD-3 Players!!
I was beginging to think I was the only one having trouble with the XD-3.
I'm fairly new with this machine, and been working for over 10years as a single act. At this point, I wouldn't take this machine on stage with me. I can't get it to do anything that I would expect it to do as far as "live jobs" are concerned.
We as players, have to get Ketron to step up and make this a usable piece of Equipment. Styles/rhythms aren't good, sounds are poor.
I'm talking with Jay to put in the H/D up-grade and adding extra styles. That's about $800!! Do I put money like that into a machine that can't do the job??!!
I'll keep watching to see how this works out for us.

I'm also a xd3 user and like the way it sounds, but I would never take it to a gig because it froze or turned off on me so many times.(how embarrassing) it's only good for home use. I wish they would make it more stable and reliable to use in live situation. I'm using 2.1 also.

I think I'm the only one in Hawaii using this machine.

It does feels so good to have such a strong back up like you guys, and maybe Ketron will listen to our needs and fix they're own errors.
