I felt my apt. sway sideways - my first earthquake. It was scary and awe-inspiring at the same time.

However, we are now watching Irene, which may come right up I-95 by Sunday.

I also could actually feel the house I was in (Bethlehem Pa) move, like a slow, quiver type movement.

It was a weird feeling, as we never get earthquakes on the East Coast.

I too hope everyone's OK

I was in the process of unloading my van at a nearby job when the quake hit. I had just put the keyboard on the R&R cart when the van suddenly began shaking from side to side. At first I thought it was someone playing a joke on me, but when I walked to the front of the van no one was there. I really didn't feel it while standing on the ground, but the van shook pretty hard. My wife said the entire house shook and she thought the roof was going to cave in. Fortunately, no damage and no injuries here. After I set up the equipment, the very first song I performed was "Shake, Rattle And Roll." The audience loved it!

I'm glad to hear everyone's ok following that rare 5.8 quake on the East Coast.
Coincidentally, here in California, while watching the coverage of that on the late evening news last night,
at that same moment, I felt a 3.6 tremor shake my house, as its epicenter was located only 10 miles away.

Here's the earthquake song I enjoy doing: grin
