So I finally started to program/use this most useful feature, Registrations

Am I missing something?

How can I assign Intros, Breaks, Fills?

Meaning when I start a song, Sync Start, it goes first to my preselected, presaved Intro?

Right now it goes directly to arranger part.

I want each song/registration to start with intro or fill

please tell me you can
I tried but could not figure it out

It's an extra button required (Intro) when you load the Registration. Ketron products don't save Intro/Fill as part of the Registration setting.

The argument is you could decide to start the song differently each time and as such this grants you more flexibility. Ofcourse there are those who don't/won't support this.

Thanks,

AJ

Is it just me, after the Pen update, I couldn't seem to recall registratin by punching number anymore, am I missing something?
Other than that I love the new upgrade.

After the upgrade, most functions were set to factory default.

To activate the NUMBER SEARCH for registrations ...

* Press the REGISTRATION button.
* Turn on NUMERIC=ON by pressing the User 3/8 button.

Your Stles/Numeric pad can now be used to access registrations numerically.

Thanks,

AJ

AJ

I can't remember which intro I use for every single song

I think Registration should remember the state the keyboard is in
all buttons including fills. Intros. Holds start stop

I don't want to write down on my lyrics sheet for this song I use intro 2
for this one I use intro 1. For this one I start with Break 1

and then have to press this button every time before.

If you hit intro prior to save it should SAVE it

Those that don't want intros saved don't press INTRO just bedore pressing SAVE
then they can manually choose Anything they want

the BEST of both worlds

O you see AJ

it still is just as flexible for those that want to choose different intros
just save it without choosing intro. As they have been doing all this time

and for ME and others that know how they start their songs they have it set up like that

Hi,

I fully agree to leezone !

ANY buttonīs state should be saved in the registrations ( maybe with an additional topic in the "save-registrations-menu" )

I think registration has something not perfect.
- what append if I have saved sinlge registration that have "user style" and then I moved or loose the style ?
the registration recall it because all is save into it, but if I want to edit the style in pattern edit mode ?
from registration is some error to recover the styles like original
example: I saved a registration with full style, now I want to edit the style into registartion, I cannot, I must edit the
original style end remkae the registration.
i think good would be like sd1 to can be decide if registration save internal it the styles, or save only the link of style
, like sd1 use only the slot of style, but I can edit the style

and registration cannot load voice list ?

snoopy,

glad you agree, it should save ALL button states, intros, fills, bass to lowest, everything
of course even if a style is saved with INTRO2,
if user loads REG and decides he wants INTRO3 instead,
he/she just presses Intro 3
and if he never chose/saved Intro, then of course no intro is played

pastroccio,

i agree too, good it saves the style to reg. in case you move it, delete it etc.
but how about a way to extract that style from reg. back to user area, so we can edit, and resave if necessary

i would have suggested these 2 things LONG AGO,
but only now did i start to work with REG.

Hi,

is just found another "error" :

Iīvg got 3 single registrations for "A swinging safari". ( S1,S2,S3 )

Any of them works fine. No "Voice Lists" are used.

Now I created a block registration that contains this 3 single registrations. (B1)

If I call my single registrations from the block registration B1 the following happens :

If no "Voice List" was used PRIOR calling the single registration S1 everything works fine.

BUT :

If I used a "Voice List" prior calling the first single registration itīs choosing the wrong instruments and does not switch off "Voice List".

ONLY if I call the first registrations via block registration this happens, if I call ist as a single registration itīs fine !

Mystic laugh

If you know that itīs no problem, but if not... maybe youīll be surprised, especially during a gig laugh

I had noticed the bug in saving Program files, also. Many times the Voice List is not saved in Program. It saves the lead voice to another location. As soon as I click "Voice List" it goes to the proper location.

Voice List just are saved in the style call, not registration (i dont know why if the registration calls the style) another problem is when you save the registration with lyrics, the lyrics simple dissapear(you have to call it again)

Would you like intros. Fills breaks to be part of Registrations?

In vArranger, you can save INTROS and MAINS in registrations

It's a cool feature to have, to start the song with the good intro/variation

Lee

Not really, because I have varying needs for intro's. E.g.,when I lead my band, I do my own intro to make sure they know when to come in.

I understand, so you would just save your REG, the same, without pressing the Intro button before Saving

I would LOVE to have all intros setup for ALL my REG/songs

The best of both worlds

You know, I hadn't thought of it before because my other keyboards can't save them either. However, I can see the advantage, as the variations, may I say, vary quite a bit more than some of my others.

Ye. Many styles intros are crazy long and are not
appropriate for song. And trying to rember which styles can use which intros
which song I could use Intro 1. Which is intro 2. Etc. Is a nightmare
without having to write this all down for every damn song

ability to save intro. Fill etc. All button states
would be a GODSEND for me

You are so right about this, itīs just not possible for me to remember the intro for every song. I had to write it down, which is very stupid, and something I never had to do before.

I am willing to pay $100 for this one feature alone,
Save intros, breaks, fills, start stop, bass inv etc. with REG

that is how badly I need this feature
it would make my life and transition between songs so much easier
that's more than the pen drive costs.

AJ...please.

maybe we can all chip in a little $$, (those interested in this feature that is, saving intros in REG) perhaps $10-$20 each

and then paypal AJ, as a little incentive and thank you at the same time smile
