Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of getting a new arranger now that I have sold my RD700sx.

I originally sold my Tyros 2 to get the digital piano but that was a mistake. I loved the RD but I've always loved to have an arranger at home and now I aim to put that right again....

Anyway - obviously interested in a Tyros 4 but the price is serious so I would feel uneasy spending that amount.

No chance of seeing a preowned one around either in Ireland or UK so it is either new or nothing.

Aside from the Tyros 4 - is there anything around the £1000-£1500 mark that is great value and will hold it's price 2nd hand? Was looking at a Tyros 3 but I don't know......

Look forward to any comments, advice re: Tyros 4 or something else.

Cheers

I have a nice as new Audya 76 I might let you have but it will need just a bit more than £1500, but you will be going up in the World and flying high with the Audya.

The T3 is a great keyboard you could have; but not sure of the price range. May be the Roland Bk-7m would suffice, if you`re looking out for playing out of the box without too much tweaking. It is an arranger module. It has about 433 styles in the ROM + Roland Europe had another additional 578 styles from their style library(I guess from the older Rolands).so thats quite a lot. Additionally it wont take up much space since its a module. Ofcourse it`ll need another keyboard(MIDI compatible) to control it. You may want to ask the music store experts if you could use an arranger keyboard say the PSR S910 midi-ed to the Roland Bk-7m. You`ll have best of both worlds smile
And oh my .... when the Korg Micro arranger comes out, you may use that as your Korg arranger module smile So a used S910 + Bk-7m + Korg microarranger in under £1900 ? .. could be possible. I am not from the UK so I would not know the pricing. In the above scheme, you`ll have most of the sounds of the big three covered, never short on styles wink. Morever, as Tony suggested, the Audya with some awesome sounds and styles(including some real audio not midi drums) is very good as well. Meanwhile, a large community is awaiting the S910 replacement which is expected sometime next year. Whatever you plan to buy.. try it out first. Good Luck in your search.

Like the sound of going up in the world and flying high with the Audya!! Don't know much about it Tony. Is it regarded by some as one of the premier arrangers available?

Would I be right in saying that the styles in the Audya would be a bit more "live" sounding than the likes of the Tyros? I sold my Tyros 2 a few years ago and while that was a mistake, one criticism I did have was that it was a bit too over processed for my likings with regards the styles. No doubt the T4 will have stunning RH sounds - can the Ketron compete?

Tony if you don't mind me asking, why are you selling your Audya? I have been looking around a bit this evening since coming in from work and it is a very impressive keyboard.

Something is still dragging me towards the Tyros 4 though......

As for the T3 - is there a huge difference between the T3 and T4? To be honest I don't know if £1500 is a good price for a T3.

Totally baffled as there are quite a few choices around, the main problem being that everything is pretty expensive.

Would have considered a S910 but I've read a new model is due out soon. That of course will have a domino affect and ripple the market too, although if we kept waiting no one would buy anything!!

You'll find me at stumped.com laugh

I have both Audya and T4, they are both good Kbs, the T4 as lots more goddies, but the Audya is good too, people who buy it love it and wouldn't have anything else, I do like the flexiblilty of the T4 and you can add a memeory card and add many more voices, its endless. if you listen to all those Audya clips from Portugal about 3 years back the Audya sounds good, go through them all if you can and then tell us what you think.
