I had a little time on Dave's PA3x ...I only had a chance to hear the default settings with ots and default bank sounds...

The looks of the PA3x 76...is the best from Korg to date...the key feel is also the best from Korg (I believe Fatar)...very similar to my MediaStation..

Layout on the panel has some changes from my PA800...and are improvements..

The styles I tried were same styles from the PA800 but did sound better..most likely remixed and different sounds..

Chord sequencer worked okay..maybe not as good as the G1000...but much better than the one missing on my G70.. smile

Standout sounds..The piano, best from Korg (SV1) and EP was very good with the exception of lower range...a bit muddy...I played a sax sound that was very good..as good as the Tyros4..

The scat sounds are stil "horrible"...
The selected ots Organs did not impress me (I am sure there are better..

The footprint of the keyboard is nice and compact for 76 keys...

Motorized display is cool ...although I hope it can be controlled manually..when it breaks grin

I have found myself liking the Korg styles..in fact I use about 20 of them converted to my G70...

If I was looking for a new keyboard (If someone stole my G70 and I could not find another smile )...I would most likely go for the PA3X76 over the Tyros4..I would reserve my final thoughts after more time with the Korg and Tyros..

Sidebar: The mediaStation 's SteinwayB gigasample and B4 (NI)..are far superior to any board stil....especially compared to the overated Nord (my opinion) grin I had to add a zonker.....The Korg isn't as warm as the best piano on the G70, but I think the Korg has a big edge over the Tyros4 piano...but this would be personal taste...

I would say that appearance wise the PA3x looks most professional of the current crop....

and playing the instrument will show the toyish quality of the PSR line, the PA800 and even the Prelude....I am talking about that "too much plastic" look and feel.....finally another real built contender...

I agree 100%. What a great looking board! The vocal harmony demos I've have seen are very impressive too. I can't waite to hear more. Uncle Dave, I hope you post some of your music soon. Thanks!
