Anyone found a great solution for cable ties? How to wrap cords/cables? I don't use a tie of any kind, I just fold the cable and tie it into a loose knot but I always thought it might be too much stress on the cord. I've seen people use rubber bands, velcro ties, etc. Seems I saw something out there that I thought was a good idea but my sometimers means I forgot what it was.

There are a bunch of youtube videos. Here is one by Planet Waves, seems to be a variation of the 'over/under' wrapping technique. Planet Waves sells a wrap but I've also seen people use those little elastic bands that girls use to tie their hair in a ponytail. A cheap solution.

Bill ... I use these:
http://www.cabletiesandmore.com/velcroHL.php

Cheap enough, sold at GC, Ash, etc. ... Put the strip around the cable and through the little 'cut out and it remains on the cable ... wind the cable loosely and wrap the strip around it ... easy ... I even color code for speakers, mics, kb, etc. ...

Bill,

I have a fair amount of Cable Wrap in the workshop that I'll be more than happy to send you. I purchased it at Radio Shack, and it was used when I was using the Bose L1 Model-1.

I'll call you in a while,

Gary cool

I Use these; they come in all sizes depending on the size of the cable.

They work great, no matter how you fold the cable.

The wrap I use looks a lot like flattened, telephone receiver wire.

It holds up to 4 cables inside the wrap, protecting them while at the same time making that maze of cables beneath the keyboard appear neat and tidy.
