Hi Al......Happy New Year!
I'll second the pinched finger deal...I still have the 10 yr older RED RnR kart use it every day, pretty much all the welds broke and had to replace all the pins with nuts & 2 3/4" lag Bolts smile ....but comon, when are they ever gonna improve the design, like a release trigger on top of the side bar so you don't have to bend down...etc,?..all the did was change the color and add no flat wheels big deal.....I also like these models shown..I'm thinking of which one will suit my daily transport needs....btw thank you kind sir it's good to be back with everyone also....

kind regards

If you have seen Gary Diamond's cart with his modification you would realize this isn't even close. Gary is the man!

Donny,

It only seems natural YOU should help design a new cart. If your mechanically inclined, why don't you design a cart with your specs in mind and then market it.

I personally would like to see the deck of the RnR solid so I can put smaller items on the cart without them falling through. I know they sell an aftermarket add-on, but does it slide open and closed when you expand the cart??

I also would like to see a Mic stand holder built into the side so you can just snap it in/out when the side pieces are up. I always put my mic stand on last on the top and it's always falling off on turns or bumps.

I'd like to see them switch from steel to aluminum to keep the weight down and stop the rust. Also, this thing rattles like crazy when it's loaded in the back of the vehicle. It could be a little better made and construction a little tighter. Add these items to your wish list, especially the release trigger idea which is spot on.

So if you design and market this NEW DonnyKart, you would then be handsome, famous, AND rich!!

First and foremost, the price is $199, which is about $50 more than the R&R R-10. Additionally, it has solid wheels, which are not forgiving when you are wheeling gear over a rough surface.

Next, it does not fold as flat as the R&R, therefore, taking up a bit more space in the van. The handles are round, which ins't conducive to attaching a top tier. The R&R handles are squared, which made adding a top tier very easy and inexpensive.

While aluminum would be lighter, it would not have the structural integrity of steel. Consequently, it would be about 50-percent bulkier.

There is a way to make one-half of the bottom platform of the R&R into a solid platform with the addition of simple aluminum sheeting pop-riveted in place. You could also use 1/4-inch thick Luan plywood in place of the aluminum sheeting, which would be quieter and easier to work with. The difference in weight would be negligible.

I've had 2 flat tires with the R&R during the past decade. I fixed the flats with Slime, the green stuff used for emergency tire repairs. In one instance a long thorn pierced the tire. In another case it was a roofing staple. While solid tires would prevent flats, the vibration on sidewalks and mcadam surfaces would be horrendous.

I don't see the above cart as a viable replacement for the Rock & Roller R-10, but that's only my point of view.

RnR have now available NO FLAT Tires...designed for the new R10 onlt....axle hole will NOT fit the older RED karts like I have as replacements ..
wheels

the R&R kart is ok & does the job...but really needs to be redesigned ...

Gruvgear has the right idea & "SEEMS TO BE IN TOUCH WITH REALITY"
....AT ANY PRICE YOUR BACK WILL THANK YOU not using a kart like I see so many is just not good.. clap
