KMA...the Swiss Army Knife of arrangers?

More like a paper airplane....and a small one at that.

Man, I'm glad I'm not impulsive...but, it seems to be exciting for some.

Buying my main axe is a long and well thought out process, and I like to see my money well spent...and well spent just once!

Yes, getting a new keyboard is a nice experience, but making the most out of it is a rewarding experience that lasts a lot longer.

Some here change keyboards more often than they change socks.

Again, I guess it's an intoxicating experience for some individuals...it ain't for me.

Carry on.

The mere fact that the KMA sounds as good as arrangers 5x it's price is quite an attribute. We buy & sell gear all the time, doesn't mean something anything wrong, Just fortunate enough to be able to sooth our curiosities. Nothing wrong with that & I'll probably do it again & again, thats what makes it fun.

I don't think the BK-5 sounds as good as instruments five times it's price...it does sound better than it's asking price.

Comparing it to a Tyros4 or PA3X is a bit much...it is what it is...a cheap keyboard alternative to a BK-7M module...nothing more.

It isn't hard to predict who'll be buying one...no harder than it was to predict who'd be selling KMA's.

Ian, "main axe" is the important thing....mine ..G70 nearly 5 years, MediaStation , over 5 years...and Accordion nearly 49 years.......Now they are what I call keepers, and making good use.... smile

The others that I did not keep are the experiences....E80,60 and 50...PA800,MicroArranger..Yamaha Psr assortments, and Tyros3...Kn2000, Prelude, GW7, Casio WK series , MZ series...and many more.... tired

Fran, I know you didn't buy the KMA to replace your main axe.

I wouldn't either.

Most professionals grow along with their main axe, and get the most out of it, and it becomes a part of your playing style...you sorta grow together.

The Tyros4 means the same to me as your G-70 does to you...we're both on the same page with this.

I know the KMA was just a fun thing for you...but some have taken it very seriously, and then mysteriously, made a 180 degree change and dismissed it.

I don't think either of us does that.

I dumped a few TOTL Tyros units, Ketrons, Korgs, & Rolands also it don't matter to me.....when I'm done with them off they go cheap or TOTL...as always it's just a tool of the trade nothing more.Just my opinion of course... smile smile
