It is the novelty, of the size and the real functionality of the Micro..based on Korg's most popular model ..PA-80.....Sure the PA50sd is identical and more playable...but then you have a dozen more models to consider, in the same range....(boring)... Maybe if Yamaha released a Tyros3 in a Micro size and priced at $500...I would buy one and kept it more than the 3 days I had the Tyros3...Talk about wanting to dump a instrument... Yes, it is a novelty, Fran, and as you said in other posts, the sound is just"okay". If it works for your purposes, then you have spent your money well. Personally, I've got all that I'll ever need in the Tyros4, and have no need of novelties at the moment. Seriously Fran, I really doubt if Roland would release a G-70 in micro size and price it at $500, any more than Yamaha would do the same with a Tyros3. It was very amusing, however, to watch you (and perhaps Donny) do the turnabout and pull the "successful" KMA from ebay. And yes, we can all find purposes for seemingly useless things...even a Mediastation could still be used as a paperweight. Ian PS...An instrument that is "more playable" works better for me...your mileage may vary.
