This is a simple little song we normally do as a vocal for the old folks and I normally play the melody on accordian, mussette actually so I thought I would record the song twice on the KMA and the Pa2x or Pa2x and the KMA and see if you could tell which one is which. (I bet Ian gets it right)

Aside from needing a bit of EQ too much bass in #1...I agree with Fran....the second sounds more live in this demo....

I dont think there is to much bass in the first one, i think the drums are not loud enough.

Cant say which one is the PA2X, i dont like both musettes at all...

This is what a propperly played musette sounds like.

Hi Fran and Donny

Both were recorded on Zoom H2 same settings on mixer EQ flat, master EQ set to off on the Pa2x. I was trying to be fair.

Bachus: You can't compare apples with pears. The You Tube example was a totally different style of music.

Regards

Col

The Youtube example shows that a Musette sounds great when playing short notes, and boring when playing long notes.

Therefore Music written espescially for Musette almost allways contains of quick notes and not of slow notes. Because the instrument just doesn't sound that good when playing long slow notes.

You only hear musette in the fashion you just played it when people are still trying to leanr their instruments and/or when organists/keyboardists use the Musette instrument in the way you just used it in.

The Korg Musettes both sound great and naturall when played like a real Musette player would do, but when played as in your example, the loop just isn't to much like the real thing,,, for both keyboards as it is essentially the same musette sample and looping they use. There is a bit of Vibrato missing in the longer notes.
