As you can read elsewhere here only this weekend have I been able to have a first try on the Micro myself. I am not going to repeat all the arguments pro and against that have been put forward thus far.
I assume that those who will get one or hang on to it will amplify it adequately either thru their main keyboard or thru a set of monitors.

However for those who want to keep it really Micro ( see also Saswick's thread about the ultimate micro set up) a worthwile suggestion.
At home I use the Creative Gigaworks T10 speaker set. A treat both in looks and in sound, and.............dead cheap. Alternatively their is the T20 even better.....
We hooked up the Micro to the T10 speakerset and it sounded absolutely great. I hasten to add that the internal speaker/amplificiation set is pretty lousy to put it mildly. Still for the price you guys in the USA are paying it remains a steal. Here in Europe it retails for the equivalent of 640 dollars, and that is the cheapest you can get. I still think that anyone in the States with no Korg in his set up and at the prices you are paying is well advised to give it a try.

regards,
John Smies

Thanks John,

Interesting...they seem capable, I wonder about the wattage?
Have you tried it paired with your PSR-3000?

Anyone have any other similar suggestions, although in that price range, it may be hard to find.

Not gonna get much bass with those speakers without a sub.
Cheap is not an option when it comes to speakers & sound IMO..

Donny,

Bass response from these Creatives is astounding. Naturally it would not do for a gig, but I am talking about amplificaction at home. These Creatives whether T10 or T20 do the Korg Micro truly justice. When I ran my own resources thru them all of my previous programming as well as my musical recordings ( and they were many) came flooding back. All I am saying is that these less than 50 bucks speakers do full justice to the very good basic sound of the Micro.

Larry,

I have not, I amplify the PSR300 thru my Korg PA800 and that sounds great. I will give the PSR a try though with these T10 speakers and let you know. Shame you passed on the Micro, I still think it is a terrific buy.
And in time Bernie may corroborate my opinions....

regards,
John Smies

I'm finding my smaller Logitech Z-2300 a terrific sounding
portable 2.1 PA for my microARRANGER and delivers plenty of power & bass punch to cover a 'relatively' large space.
I realize the Z-2300 is now discontinued, but
wondering if this Logitech Z623 (or another Z series model)
might be the current equivalent or improved(?) Z-2300 replacement?
Anybody know?
