Probably because the dollar vs the euro has improved quite a bit over the last 3 months.

$4,800 is $1,000 too much if you ask me :-)

$4,800 is just a bit more than a Tyros3 cost here just now aprox $4,285.
Audya is predicted to cost almost the double........
Have to be more than twice as good then

so to be competitive, the AUDYA "should" be about same price

I'm talking US$ as well, but converted from Norwegian Kroner
and what's the pricelevel here.
Today $ stepped down a tiny bit, 1 US$ = N.Kr. 7,021.
So if you divide the Norwegian shops "offer" Kr. 29990,- to
7,021, you get US$ 4271

Audya are at "offer" as well (???) , N.Kr. 53.950,-, and by
use same method to convert currency, thats US$ 7684.

Korg PA2Xpro: NKr.25900 = US$ 3698 , so you see, here you'll
get both T3 and PAX2ro for one Audya.
Anyway, only time will tell if Audya arrive, and what price.
The economic situation around the world could easily reach this
kind of business too....

I spoke with CMC distributor here in the USA today. When I asked if it will come out before XMAS the answer was "probably after the first of the year" and when I asked about price, I was told it depends on the strength or lack of strength of the US dollar compared to the Euro.
So, when I was told around $4895.00 a few weeks ago, I don't know where it will finally settle at.
