Does Varranger has an onboard recorder or sequencer?

Dan what is witholding you from going all software for live use..

Is it just a matter of finding the right amount of confidence and adding the right hardware tools that allow you to fully controll the software?

Its software Frans... just reroute your output to some recording software and it will work just perfectly..

You can use any software for playing sequences ..

Ever since i found out (last week) that JACK audio connection manager works just perfectly under windows with ASIO for all 2, the possibilities are endless....

Use both Varranger and Ableton live and set it so it will route the audio output tracks through cubase and you can record all you want or just use Cubase as your mixer...

Yes I know that but one man band has a onboard recorder which is much easier to use. For an 350 Euro software I expect it has at least a sequencer

FransN, there is no sequencer yet into vArranger.
While I can understand that it's cool to have an all in one software, I prefer to first add the features that CAN'T be found in other software.

What I suggest you to do when you want to create a recording : you select a style, you enter chords on the grid with the mouse or by midi learn, and you press EXPORT TO MIDIFILE.

Then you open the midifile in any sequencer, like cubase... and continue working on your song. (adding AUDIO/MIDI/VST tracks)

But who knows, maybe I will add a sequencer later, or a simple RECORD button.

DNJ, you can load any Ketron styles from old solton MS series, to the SD5/Midjay plus. Not the Audya yet.
You can also load all the Yamaha styles, up to the Tyros 4.

Bachus, my principal keyboard was the Ketron SD1, and all I had to do is to copy the styles from the SD1 to the computer, to be used with vArranger + SD2. So I had exactly the same sound with
my SD1 and with the computer.

The next step for me, is to go 100% software, and I am now working on this. Before releasing anything, I have to be sure that it will be SIMPLE to use, and perfectly STABLE.

I also have some dreams about creating a hardware control surface.

Bachus, what is your musical setup?

Dan ...wow that would be fantastic 100% software with Ketron/Yamaha styles ....no extras modules...just a good controller kb...I hope that becomes a reality in the future ..good luck
