Adding a "serious 61 key controller" that would allow me to control many more things then the BK5 arranger KB could do is another option I have thought about...

Yes Don I agree. A good controller with Varranger and the BK7m and the possibilities are endless.

Believe me after talking to Don M and a few others here....
I am seriously exploring the BK7m/Controller route as I am with a few other options. I wish there were some more good you tube BK7m demos by other players..Can anyone suggest some really good full features 61 controllers FOR LIVE PERFORMANCE?

I sincerely DO NOT believe this would be the way for you to go. Keep in mind that DonM and many others using this system leave their equipment set up at the same location for several days, and sometimes weeks at a time. They're not setting up and tearing down two to three times a day, 5 to 7 days a week. Those of us that work the NH and retirement community circuits frequently do doubles, some triples, and the most effective tool in our inventory is the arranger keyboard where everything is contained within a single unit. A module, controller keyboard and the associated wiring just doesn't make good sense for you, or me.

Good Luck,

Gary cool

Donny, why not wait and see what the next PSR-S-series has in store for you?

Gary is right...having it all contained in a single unit is extremely effective if you're moving a lot.

You are right Gary....I understand and have taken that setup aspect into consideration also especially for MY needs on stage a few that you have mentioned above... I already carry 3 pc's for NH gigs which is nice...& 8 Pc's for all my other big dance & DJ club gigs........just want to explore and rule out ALL that is available....thanx for the ideas..
always appreciated.

Yes but Medeli is even cheaper then Casio and the A800 sound really good for the money. Cost only 245 Euro in the Netherlands.

I had the setup with BK7m down to under ten minutes. I put everything in a special case, from which the top is removed. The module, harmonizer, laptop and mixer all stay hooked up and in place. Just plug in the keyboard and pedals and GO!
I'll see if I can find a photo of it.
