I have also had this happen - most video cameras will only record correctly when held in an upright position. Unlike still cameras that can be used in portrait or landscape positions.

My guitar is my Baby, it's a Takamine model: tan 15c it has a Tube preamp built right in that uses a 12ua7 low heat tube, with a cedar top, go read about them, big nashville player guitar, very inexpensive compared to the Taylors and Breedloves in its class and it sounds 5x better

My Mic is a Sennheiser E935 evolution series

The mains are an Old Bose Pannaray system with the big sub, Nice old fashion cathedral with great acoustics can help.
