I am working with a Pa800 and a KMA. I would like to change the STS instruments in a factory style so that when called them up I have four instrument of my choice.

1-On my Pa800 I have saved the STS in the Song Book and in the Performance.

2-My KMA does not have Song Book but it does have Performance. I do not know how to change the STS instruments and save them in the Performance. (If that can be done)
My best guess is that I must first edit the factory style and then save it back to the original factory position. I’m guessing that I must unlock the protection for the factory styles to do this. Here is where I need help – this little monster KMA has some great features but so hard to find. The manual says it all in a million words without saying it. I usually have to read through 10 pages to find a short sentence explaining how to. Aaaaaaaah!

Please any help will be appreciated.

Bruno make sure you UNLOCK the factory style protect first. I think its global.

Donny, my mind has gone blank. How do I UNLOCK the factory style protect?

Every so often I have all the steps but one and that one is beyond me because I have something else in mind while I am trying to understand. Thanks for helping.

Hi John,

On the KMA . . .

Press the 'SD Card' Button
Select: 'Utilities', then go to Page 9:
Fact. Style Protect: On/Off

This is covered on page 142 of the KMA owners manual.

Important note: Fact Style Protect is automatically reset back to 'on' when the keyboard is turned off.
