KETRON UK NEWS APRIL 2nd 2012

Ketron UK Audya Styles Program

As of 1st June 2012 Ketron UK will release the first of an ongoing Live Style USB Update Program for Audya Series instruments. Each of the USB updates will contain Five Styles suggested by our customers and created in collaboration Robert Messier.

The first Five styles are a selection of our most requested so far and we hope you are happy with the choice:

Ballroom Quickstep - perfect tempo for one of the most classic dance floor styles.
Driving Beat - Your audience will want to Dance The Night Away as they search for Amarillo!
60s Power Ballad. - Vintage Live drums for classics such as 'He Aint Heavy, he's my brother' and 'Whiter Shade Of Pale'
Strictly Rhumba - perfect dance floor rhumba recorded at the correct tempo
50s Ballad - a 6/8 ballad for just about every top 10 ballad released in the 1950s.

To ensure the cost is manageable (for you and for us) the cost will be in line with the price of our competitors older MIDI technology premium styles.

SUGGEST A STYLE

As these styles are for you, then we need you to be involved. When (and if) you buy the first Style Update Pack you will be able to suggest three styles that you would like to see on the next update of five. If one or more of your styles is selected then you will get the next update free of charge. (if more than one person suggests the same style then we will randomly select a winner). This way it keeps us in touch with your wants and lets you have a say too.

TWD,

Great Idea with the 5 pack of new styles
Great way to keep our AUDYA up to date and out-of -date in a way with the oldies :-)

Thank You for the 6/8 style in pack 1
It is a very popular style not really found in Audya, maybe 1 so-so version of 6/8

I believe it was ME that always asked for the 6/8 Ballad
So can I have the Pack #1 for free? please....

I will just add that the BEST thing about these packs is that ROBERT Messier is involved in creation partly or fully....

Imagine the amount of USB sticks you have to keep control of if new volumes coming too often Lee wink

Anyway, it's good news and I'm sure many Ketroners will welcome new usable styles in the library.
I for one would love to see a growing stylelibrary if I had Audya, arrangerkeyboard is for me a matter of playing with styles, not mp3 or midi.

Good luck gals & guys. smile

Cheers
GJ

Its a relief your not disappointed - I was concerned after so much hype it might fall flat!

Although it wasn't you that suggested the style to us I have to say you have been the most enthusiastic about the idea of new Audya goodies so will send you a copy of stuff we were putting on peoples USB sticks at the roadshow..pm me with your email address. Its not much but you may appreciate it.

I am very excited about the style update too and love Roberts work. I hope it works out - much is dependent on Audya owners buying the styles instead of copying and sharing which is the quickest way to finish the program!

The release of the next five is dependent on the popularity of the first 5. If they are well received we hope to get straight on with the next batch. Sorry we cant be more specific just now.

This is very true, but it also depend a lot of what pricelevel to be charged to prevent such things happen. Later on when the library grows, Ketron could i.e. make a webshop where you can buy single styles as well as a mixed volumes for instant download.

I will buy Roberts styles even if they are of no interest to me
Why?
Because Roberts work is kick @ss
And I don't want to see him or this project disappear

So people. Please do not share, trade styles or it will come back to haunt us
And then WE have to create our own new styles from scratch
And I doubt very much that any of us or all of us combined could ome up with anything 1/2 as good as Robert can produce
