Ed, Don did look cute back then, but if you could see him now. Man he's big and mean looking. If some millionaire would have put him in the ring with Mike Tyson, Mike would have had a heart attack before the first bell. DonM is very intimidating. He looks like he could pick you up with one hand and body slam ya.

Yes, we backed up Freddie for a couple of shows in Tulsa. He offered us a full-time job as "his" band, but several of the guys couldn't go.
Just after that he got his own TV show for a couple of seasons. He was a nice guy.
He taught me to play the organ riff in Palisades Park, one note at a time. I never forgot it!
