Last night Martin Harris perfomed an amazing show around the Tyros series organized by my dealer. (Oostendorp) Over 300 guests enjoyed the show and got impressed by Martins' playing, humor and 'the great Tyros4B'.
Some of us were lucky and had a chance to chat with Martin and some other members of the Yamaha team..... really nice/friendly people and willing to listen to and discuss with customers.
Without any doubt Martin is the kindest, most modest demoist I've ever met.
Many guests report it was the best performance they saw in 10 years of the Tyros history. Others (including me) report they got emotional (tears coming up) by the wonderful music (;-)

I dont know if i understand KLa4. You said it was the best demonstration you have ever heard. I dont doubt you at all but if that is the case why would yamaha not want the whole world to hear it ???? They would sell a boatload more Tyros 4 as a result wouldnt they surely ????
There are tonnes of recordings of concerts on youtube.
I think I understand why Yamaha would not want a “bootleg” video of a demonstration being distributed on the internet. A poorly recorded video could give a negative impression of their product.

Yamaha has always been pretty strict about filming or recording their performances, as you will find if you go to any demo that they do, as to why, then the only thing they say is that because full songs are played, it would infringe copyright if it was made public.

Yes, they sure wouldn't want anything online that sounded anything like the original PA3X demos. Rembember how everybody was complaining about it? But, I think it would have been wise for Yamaha to record direct so that if it was what they wanted it could have been used.

I've often wondered why Martin Harris doesn't have a professional recording contract, whereby he would release CDs on the market using Yamaha gear. Is there any reason why he couldn't do that and still work for Yamaha?

Martin Harris has a great job as 'Mr. Tyros', but lives 50% of his time in Japan. He told me this was his first live show since 10(!) years and pretty nervous before the show..... so no 10 shows a week as 'that guy Baghus' wrote.
