You got an i30? You gig with it? I bought another off of eBay 3,4,5 years ago, I had to replace the (watcha call it power plug) it was loose or something it would cut out. It must have been dropped, cause it had a hold in the case near that spot? Tthe button's work better than my original board.

I use the original to gig with. I just use the touch screen to choose the styles etc. I can usually fine them fast enough. I figure if you do all the good tunes you don't have to play a tune with a tenth of a second between tunes. They sit there with great anticipation wondering what's next.

Yup, bought it new in 2000. Used it for about eight years on gigs and it never let me down once. I've heard of people having problems with the buttons, but they must smack 'em a too hard or something, I never had a problem with mine.

I didn't use to tweak it much, just change a few instruments, basses, drum maps, etc., here and there. And used it with an 'ih' harmoniser. I've still got the i30 and the ih, but I rarely go near it these days. I bought a used Pa1XPro for a steal a few Christmases ago, and I've been using that ever since. Solid as a rock, too.

I'm very happy with the PA3X. I also have a Roland E50 and a BK7m. I may downsize a little. It makes no difference to the audience.
Last night I had two complete systems set up in two different rooms.
I played a 50th anniversary from 5 to 7 in the Veranda room. I used PA3X, and Logitech Z2200s. No mixer, no laptop. I have all lyrics and midi files on the internal drive, if I need them. Mic runs through the keyboard of course. Main left and right outs into left and right ins on the Logitech. It went great. There were about 30 people in the room, overlooking the city.
At 7 I walked into the other end of the building. I used Roland E50, Digitech Harmony M for voice processing, Edirol mixer and two Bose Compacts. It was packed in there so I got to crank it up a little.
I was tired at the end of the night. I played from 5 to 11 with two short breaks. Paying the price today with leg cramps.
It was worth it. He paid me pretty well, and tips were more than my regular pay.
I enjoy the touch of the PA3X keys, but my arthritic right wrist hurts way less when I use the ultra-light touch on the E50 and/or Roland controller for the BK7m.
After all these years, I can actually see the end of my full-time career on the horizon. Hope it's not TOO soon though.

You played for 6 hours with 2 short breaks ? ... I see you play gigs like I do ...

Time to start exercising that left hand, Don! After all, nothing to prevent you from chording with the right, and doing solos with the left...

Great practice for anyone, even if you aren't having problems with your hands.

Having watched Don perform I can assure you that both hands are constantly moving. Don's left hand never remains on the keys long enough than to change chords, then quickly heads for the pitch bend wheel, variation buttons, etc... His right hand is among the best I've seen, and his mastery of right-hand instrumentation is beyond comprehension.

I can relate to his arthritis problem, though. I have it in all of my joints due to Lyme Disease. While exercise helps alleviate arthritic pain to some minor degree by strengthening the surround muscle mass, the same function also continues to erode highly inflamed joints. As I've stated many times in the past "Gettin' old ain't fer' whimps and sissies."

I'm telling you I couldn't climb the ladder with both legs on my construction site 15 years ago and the specialist told me he would have to do surgery. I've never had surgery and I can still climb the ladder.

Go ahead and be pig headed and suffer. It's your choice. Man! What can I say?

Than I gotta listen to this crap!!! They tell me, "it doesn't work for everyone." I ask, "You've tried the pills that I'm talking about?" They say, "yes for 6 months." I ask "how may were you taking?" They say, "Oh! I took one every day." Talk about pig headed!

DonM take 5 every day. Three in the morning and two around 5 or 6PM. You'll be glad that you weren't one of the pig headed ones in exactly 8 weeks. I promise.

I also give a guarantee that I can tell you how to get rid of athletes foot too. The Doctor won't. Ooops, I mean can't.

One of our forum buddies that left us a while back, emailed me a very nice note. He said he spent a fortune on his Athletes foot problem that he had all of his life. He said that he laughed at me when I told him what to do and couldn't believe that he finally got rid of it. He couldn't believe how cheap it was. Made me feel as good I bet as when a surgeon has a successful heart transplant. Really.

Wow what a thunder storm we just had here...

Had one here too. . . and I was fishing about seven miles across Caddo Lake, into Texas. Got soaked on the way back, mostly from giant waves. When it gets windy on these shallow lakes, it gets really dangerous fast. Lightening was striking all around, but we made it o.k.
