Is it possible to copy from one style to another? I.E. Copy End 1 slowrock 4, to End 2 slowrock 8.
Thanks

well Skude, following is from recent AJ post:

3. STYLE CREATION (Available as of OS4.0)

* You can create a style from scratch or build a style using style parts from existing styles (both factory and user).
* Select a User style and press EDIT to access the PATTERN EDITOR.
* Select NEW STYLE to create a new style from scratch or simply EDIT the current style selected.
* Here, you can COPY parts from other pre-existing styles into your styles.
* You can also copy their corresponding AUDIO parts (Drum, Bass, Guitar) or the Bass from STYLE A, GUITARS from STYLE B ...etc. It doesn't matter as they all pull from the same library.

I tried copying a part of an existing style to another style. As far as I can see, this does not work. Yes I can copy parts within a style, but not like on e.g. my XD3. Here it is possible to select a source style and a destination style.
Have I missed something on the Audya.
AJ can you help here on the procedure....please.

Joe

For some reason I can't seem to find it, "copy" within a style OK, but from another style, not sure, just printed the manual, have to take a better look.

Think you posted while I was writing, I have the same problem. The style I'm working I want to copy end1 from another style, can't find how to select the style. there must be a way to do this.

AJ,

are you correct when you say:

" you can COPY parts from other pre-existing styles into your styles."

Yes you can. However, unless you do not want to also copy the AUDIO part (Drum, Bass or Guitar), both styles cannot differ by great BMP. So you cannot say copy from a style with an original BPM of 40 into another style with a BPM of 120. BPM must be about 15-20% close, otherwise you loose the audio quality of the style.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

AJ

AJ,

how does this work? How can I differentiate between source and destination pattern?

seems like ONLY AJ knows how to do it.

AJ, please post step-by-step

seems like this simple task of source/destination is not so simple :-)
