Definitely the worst drum performance I have seen in a long time....Dino Danelli he's not!! surprised ....but, very passionate and visually entertaining, although they bastardized one of my favorite Sinatra songs. Nice Hair & Tuxedo though.. confused2....scary part they are working & getting paid...go figure.....thanx for the link & the laugh. laugh2

So very dramatic and over-done it's almost good (entertainment value only; not drumming)! Funny as hell!

He can't play but must do this "show" all the time seeing how he has the cymbals so high. Love the dirty look the piano player shoots him halfway through. DNJ's right, they actually got paid for killing this song. Someone please put on an MP3 LOL

He did it his way. Only Frankie himself did it with more character.

I'll bet you a dollar to a doughnut that IN HIS MIND he's a 'killer' drummer. I know a LOT of so-called musicians like that, who are so utterly clueless that they have no idea how they REALLY sound. NOT on Synthzone though, of course smile .

This guy is almost as bad (visually outrageous) but at least he can keep time and appears to be a competent (rock) drummer.

I DO have a hobby. It consists mainly of annoying my wife. I caught her googleing some articles on undetectable poisons the other day, so I'm sort of winding down that hobby.

I'd like to come down Don, but I heard B3's were banned in LA and I don't know how to play Lap Steel (although since moving to GA, I'm trying to learn smile ). Golf didn't work out as my instructor killed himself. I'm thinking about collecting antique accordions.......to take to the city dump. Okay, back to my nap.

B3's are mandatory in LA... If you can stand up with them strapped to your chest! Ai-eeee!

Seriously, New Orleans got the highest percentage of house B3's I have seen in a while! I guess cartage is quite a problem in the Quarter!

That's great......however, Shreveport is 341.5 miles from New Orleans (5hrs24min driving time - "Google maps"). Any data on how many B3's in Shreveport?

Not a clue. Only ever drove through Shreveport!

BTW, chas, are you considering the new Nord B3 double manual model with the real drawbars? The C2D? Seems like a winner for those that have been moaning about the drawbar buttons on the old Nord's...

Actually there are quite a few B3s in Shreveport. I know personally of about a dozen. However, I can't think of anyone who is still lugging them around for one-nighters.
The music store here supplies them as needed for back-line at several of the casinos.
I know three guys that used them in small combos up until a few years ago. Now they play synths or, in one case, an arranger, but just use the organ sounds.
One guy uses two really cheapo Yamaha PSRs to replace his B3. One of them he plays left-hand bass, and the other organ sounds.
I'm sure neither kb costs over $200.!
Thing is, he sounds pretty good on them, relatively speaking. He usually has a sax player and drummer.

If Nord have improved the MIDI implementation on the new C2D, a BK7m might be an excellent addition to it for a small, light, portable rig capable of covering anything from jazz organ trio work to gigs with just you and maybe a sax player or singer.

I am exceptionally happy with the drums in the BK, the jazz and R&B patterns are great, and an FC-7 footpedal makes it practical to run virtually hands free (I KNOW you can use both hands, chas!).

Proving once again that it's the PLAYER, not the equipment.

Diki, although I use just the Organ when playing out, at home I have it set up as follows: C1 (and PK7a) on bottom tier, VP770 on top, and BK7m on small stand on the side midi'ed to the vp770. I only use the 770 to trigger notes and just control the BK7m locally. I use the BK7m's instrument voices (especially piano) instead of the 770's voices simply because they sound better and there are way more of them. The VP-770 has many complimentary features for arranger players and they actually make a very nice, easy to control, combination. BTW, I have the FC7 sitting on the PK7a. Still, it's a relief when I'm on the gig with nothing but the organ to worry about. Makes me feel like the old days when the B3 was king.
