Hey all, been a while since I last posted, but anyway...
I've been using my Yamaha PSR 3000 for a while, and I borrowed a friend's Tyros 3 for the past few months (he got a T4 and let me use it), but after speaking to a bunch of musicians who play Jewish music like I do, and after using a friend's PA3X for a bit of time, I've decided to make the move to Korg, and try to get a PA3X.
I'm still not sure if I should try to get the 76 key version - I've always used 61 keys and had no problem with it, but once I'm buying something, I maybe should go for the additional keys, since it probably can't hurt, and from what I saw, the price isn't that much more.
The problem is that I want to get something at a good price, since I don't have much extra money at this point.
I don't mind getting something used, if it's in good shape.
If anyone has a PA3X to sell, or knows of one being sold for a good price, please let me know.
My email address is in my profile, or you can reply here or PM me.
Thanks a lot!

Bob Hendershot has one for sale. http://www.synthzone.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/350938/Korg_PA3X_61_key_For_Sale#Post350938

You can trust him to be totally honest!
If you don't make a deal with him, I know where there is another one near me.

I sent him an email.
Not sure I can pay that much at this point, and I'd definitely like to get a better deal, but we'll see what happens...
Thanks!

They are pretty hard to find used, because most people that buy them hang on to them!

Thats not a bad price for a SH pa3x in the UK it would be £1500 to £1900 you will need to wait another year at least before it drops much more and look what fun you will have missed. Like DonM says they don't show up all that much SH.

You might want to take a close look at that PA600... if the purse-strings are tight. It has the new 4 fill and a break/fill system and the chord sequencer from the PA3X...

Right you are, Diki. Plus it has a larger and improved touch screen over the Pa3X (and no battery wink. But, unfortunately, not the harmoniser/voice processing. Still, a Voice-live 2 will take care of that, and you'll still be quids in.

I would assume that there are quite a few advantages of the PA3X over the PA600 - is there any comparison?

You need to look at what you actually USE... For instance, the PA3X has a full sampler on board, but have you ever really extensively USED a sampler yet?

If not, and you don't have a burning desire to get one, score one for the PA600.

Rinse and repeat.

wink
I'm going to get one of the upper end arrangers either way - a Tyros 3/4, or the PA3X, because of the sounds, the quality, the editing abilities, etc.
Maybe I don't need everything, but for my own sanity, something less won't do... wink
