Nice one Tony...I grew up on Ventures and Shadows music, and Walk Don't Run is a favorite, and I often play it on my T4.

Thanks for the memories...

Ian

Ian,

Thats a handfull to play even on the T4, suppose you can slow it down a bit. Brings back memories. Rico will do it, just you watch this space.

I played "chord organ" with a rock band starting in about 1965. We did this song and I always loved it. Used to wear my Neru jacket and maroon Iron Cross. haha

Here's a my version when I had the Tyros 1. The song popped into my head one night as I was trying different styles, etc. I was just thinking about resurrecting that song as I doubt I've played it once since then.

I thought the story about the General is PRICELESS !!! ...
Ever think about some of the musicians you've come across and even performed with during your career and wonder 'what are they doing now?' ... I know I have ... I think it was great for the Ventures to reunite with the drummer on this gig ... sounds like he was practicing too ... drums

I agree, Scott does a great job on the tune....it's a standard Tyros style, 60's Guitar Pop...it is also on the Tyros4 in the Pop&Rock category.

You might find the dots for it in one of the Ultimate Fake Books.

Preceding the Ventures (an all-time favorite) was a duo called Santo and Johnnie, the ones who first recorded Sleepwalk, one of the tunes that was influential in making me decide to play guitar.

One played a hollow-body and the other played a double-neck non-pedal steel on legs.

Years later, I took the guts from a C-3, added a two neck steel where the third keyboard would be and had the thing finished in a beautiful custom Ivory cabinet.

How's that for completely ruining the resale value of a Hammond (LOL)!

The Ventures were GREAT and started a whole lot of us on the road to professional musicianship. I particularly liked to play the Ventures hit, "Lullaby of the Leaves".

GOOD FIND, Tony,

Russ (Ventures wanabe) Russ

Perfidia was another cool Ventures tune to play. Think I'll do it tonight.
