Col ... I am using the same Digitech Vocalist EX ... it is a great machine... it will provide nice harmony - not too 'involved' mind you - just by pressing the key you are singing in without it being plugged into the kb via midi connections ...

Hi Larry and Tony

If the bypass on the Digitech had worked as I wanted it I would have been happy with it.

I forgot to mention before I bought the old Korg iH I had the Harmony M, unfortunately I found that it did not to track the midi input very well and having experienced that I was a little dubious about another TC helicon VH but I found the Quintet works just fine.

Another point when we doing a Gig I don't use a mixer I take the output from the VH straight into the line in on the keyboard and to my suprise and I still don't really understand why, we get a lot less feedback.

Col, this was not an issue after the 1.8 firmware update.

Hi Dennis

The harmony M as far as I remember only had 1.5 but I did remember updating it. A while ago. The memory is fading fast.

Harmonies are much better if you use scale mode.
