Interesting Donny, Android seems to be getting growing every day.

Is there any tablet available that has video in, so arranger players could display the keyboard screen on the tablet?

Actually the Surface tablet runs Microsoft Windows 8...initially only the RT version which is roughly equivalent in speed, capacity etc etc to ICS, and iOS..

The surface tablet that will run the full W8 Pro (full PC version in other words), is not released until Feb 2013

I feel they are all rushing these pads out for Christmas.....they are in their infancy and whatever you buy today will be gone in 6 months technology wise ......I would wait a years or so to buy anything at his point..but for my needs none of these compares to a laptop.

Many times thats true cool2 ...but, these pads have no place in my world & needs vs my laptop on stage..

The need for a laptop (for me) has been reduced because of the internal ability of my keyboards to playback audio files directly. I prefer the audio coming out of my keyboard speakers anyway, so it's becoming more and more common for me to just DJ from the kb itself. The iPad is my juke box when I leave stage and go on break, or a quick internet connection for a request, but a laptop can do that too.
The new mini is just so darn CUTE, and fun to hold and play with. I absolutely love it.

Just wondering what laptop software (Windows) do you find most useful for live performance. I have Band-In-A-Box, PowerTracks Pro, vanBasco, Pro Tools 8, Acoustica Mix craft 4, Audacity, and all the usual Windows and Adobe productivity stuff.

(Sent from my Nexus 7 - Android all the way - YEA)

Before keyboards had hard drive and good quality song players, I used to play my midi files from VanBasco and audio from winAmp.
winAmp is still my go-to PC platform player - small footprint, easy control - ability to scroll and hit "enter" to start playback with NO mouse repositioning. The setlist (song list) stays up and the song stays highlighted till you move the arrow key or mouse away from it. I love that.

On my Lenovo LT Winamp for my Mp3's,....Notepad for .TXT/lyrics when needed. I very rarely use SMF anymore, but Vanbasco when I do.
