I purchased the PA 600 from Frank at audio works today ...
First, I want to thank Frank for the great service he provided, and he is ABSOLUTELY the place to go ... clap

Second - SPARKY ... by the time I saw your PM I was on my way home ... it would have been great to meet you there frown

Third - I am STILL having a problem posting pics in a post ... I keep getting the message that the file is over 6MB when it is only 148KB !!! mad

As for the PA600 ...let me first say that I LIKE it, and I think I am going to really like it ... grin

BUT ...
1) I have to realize that it is NOT a TOTL kb - even though my kn6000 is 12 years old, it is STILL TOTL - and a lot of the operating ease due to dedicated buttons is not there in the PA 600 ...
2) I have a LOT to learn about the OS ... this is definitely not a kb I could take out of the box and play a gig ...
So the Tutorial CD is going into the PC and I will see you all in about a MONTH ... computer grin

BTW ... the styles and sounds that I have heard are quite impressive ... rocker

More to come ...

Congratulations on your new acquisition, Tony, the PA-600 is an impressive keyboard, even if it isn't a TOTL instrument.

As with any arranger instrument, it will take time to get it to suit your style of playing, but, it also has some great features like being able to set itself up for each style you select, similar to Yamaha's One Touch Setting, and, of course, these presets can be used as the basis for your personal setups.

The Technics had you a bit spoiled, as it had a terrific User Interface, but you can bet the Korg will show it it's heels regarding cool new features that weren't even possible back when your Technics was introduced.

Happy playing,

Ian

Tony

Way to go man, keep us updated on your new keyboard.
Have fun...that's what it's all about.

BTW...to display photos directly in a thread, you need to link them from a storage site.

Thanks Donny. You copy and pasted #5 twice excluding part 6.
Anyone wanting all six, use http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNo4-_QKiC8
in place of the second one from the bottom on DNJ's post.

(Just "heppin" ya out Donny)
