Hi AJ,

Well i have gone & done it! Scrambled my Op Sys 5a on my Audya. I spoke with my distributer & he knows nothing about restore disks? I know you are a great help to members on the Synth Zone site of which i am a member Robbo see my last post on the Ketron part of the site.

When i press user styles Folk where i placed a number of styles into using my mac (big mistake) all buttons after that do not directly connect with the function they are supposed to. Ie lress registration button brings up instruments and so on.

Is there a way as i am in Australia that i could download the restore disk fir my Audya and create the disk (s) from my pc?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thankyou

Rob Keith

Hi Rob,

Before you go to this far run the tests in the sticky section of this forum. If you find an error, post the results and i'll tell you how to correct any errors.

In the case of your User styles folder - I emptied mine completely and only have in there styles I need. Have you installed any official additional styles via pendrive though?

As for your distributor not knowing. Its his job to find out. Here in the UK we carry restore disks, back up hard drives (as well as all other vital parts for current instruments).

Actually, I believe A02 is ok, in version 4.2 there was an error in the test program itself...looks like they forgot to address this in os5. I will double check on that tomorrow.

Your results mean there is nothing too wrong, we just need to sort out your User Style Folder. Tomorrow I will make a note of the correct contents of each folder and let you know how to delete all the unwanted stuff. (its 20 past midnight here now)

Hi Twd,

Can you still send me the structure list as you believe it should be in the Audya. Although i have decided to go ahead with aj's upgrade, it would be great to see what and what not is on my current drive, so as to see where it all went wrong.

Thanks Robbo

I don't think anything has gone wrong with your keyboard, you just need to sort out your User drum folder and get rid of the mp3 files that don't work. If you still want the User Audio Drum Folder from the restore disk i'm sure AJ also has a copy, if not PM me.

Hi TWD,

Ok i think i see where you are going? But when i press the user styles Folk button (where i placed the styles from Henni using my Power mac, but now i have used my ibm to delte all of the files within the folder, and then replace them with a backup copy of style files). All i see is at the top of the folder view in the style is "Emty" then a lot of blue dots and ^ where the styles are usually viewed. Not to mention before i press the folk button, i can use and see all of the other user styles, but after i oress the Folk user style button, they too say the same as the folk user style button "Emty" at top and blue dots & ^ where the styles are.

What do you think?

Thanks. Robbo

Wow this forum and t.he members that belong to it are great. Thanks so much for your help, all fixed on my way with what i believe is still the best keyboard available today. Biased i know, but i can't get the real sound i hear from the Ketron from an any board, and i have tried and bought them all.
