I've just uploaded Songs 4U Volume 16 on my website. They are available in KN7000 format and in WMA format.

I noticed your website was up when I checked just now, but I got a warning that it was trying to run a Java app which is a bit suspicious so I canceled on that.

Hi Nigel,
Thanks for your observation. The Java app you are referring to is just the scrolling banner at the top of the Home page - nothing more..... However, with all the recent 'bad publicity' about Java and related security problems, I think I might just remove the scrolling banner, since it's not really essential - just a bit of 'window dressing' smile

William Ya did good. You had to put in many, many hours to create that list of songs. Few know the many areas that you worked in.

I thourly enjoyed looking through the style, sounds and sequence; and guessing how you did what. I did take notice of the drums, nice work Bill.

Great listening thanks for sharing.

Thanks a lot Bill!
Great styles of wellknown songs. I found the sheet music of a number of songs on Wikifonia and this makes it possible for me to play along by switching off R1, R2, L and APC. I will never be able to create sequences like yours so I am grateful that you share your talent.
I am looking forward to volume 17.

Hello Bill,

This is absolutly superb, in my opinion all the arrangements are great, I really love the best for the last number
"I will never find another you", this is a great song, nice improvisations and perfect jazz guitar sound.

I've just added another group of 7 songs to Phil Newell's page on my website. All the songs are Phil's original compositions and are available in KN7000 format, MP3 format and include 'The Dots' for those who wish to play along with the KN7000 sequences......

Thanks to Phil for the great arrangements and thanks to Bill for making these available for us.
I like to play along with these songs. I noticed that one of the songs (Derwent Valley) has much less volume compared to the other songs. Is there a way to get this on the same volume level and save this to sequencer?

Hi Bert,
You should be able to just load the sequence as normal, change the volume levels to your requirements and then re-save the sequence with the new volume settings..... smile

Thanks for your reply, Bill.
Do you mean that I have to adjust every track in every PM, do a panel write and resave? Is there no way to adjust the general volume of the song and thus keep the original balance between the tracks?

Hi Bert,
I've had a listen and a 'look' at Phil's Derwent song and there really is no easy way to increase the overall volume. If you do wish to do so, then you will have to increase the volume settings for all the parts in each of the Panel Memories. I also noticed that Phil uses 'dynamic' volume changes in some of the parts, while the sequence is playing - you will see these changes in ACP1 and ACP3 when viewed on the 'Home' screen, while the sequence is playing. These changes over-ride the settings in Panel Memory and are incorporated as 'events' in the particular Accompaniment tracks. I expect that Phil made these 'dynamic' volume changes during his final balancing of the tracks.

If you would like to know more, why not contact Phil - his email link is on his page..........

Hi Bill,
It looks like there is no way to adjust the overall volume so I increased the volume settings for all parts seperatly. It was difficult to keep the balance of the tracks to make it sound like the original song but I am satisfied with it.
Thanks for your help.
Bert
