2 - 3 feet of snow predicted for RI ... people here are still paranoid from the blizzard of '78 when people and cars were stranded on Interstate 95 for days ... had to get crews from Buffalo NY and the US Army to dig them out ... this was Interstate 195 from MA to RI ... MA side is plowed to RI state line ...
I got lots of wood for the fireplace and lots of time to work on my PA600 - as long as the electricity is on ...

We got hit by the cold wave last night. Temp has dropped into the high fifties, but should warm up some this afternoon. BRRRR. Seriously, you guys stay safe and warm. Serenade your wives or girl friends. No telling what will come up. DonM
I feel bad for the already devastated, dissplaced, Hurricane Sandy victims who are still trying to rebuild,.....now another messy snow storm here tonight.

Cold front came through this morning, temperature dropped to 72 - might need a sweater for tonight's Tiki Bar job.

No power, no heat since 10PM Friday .. wife, 2 grandkids and me in the family room .. I was up most of the night keeping the fireplace going ... spent last night at wifes sisters as they had power ... hoping to have power by Monday morning ... Could be a lot worse... Thnx for asking ...
Don't worry.... when it 98ºF and 100% humidity, and I have a double playing outside in the sun, you can tell me all about your nice mid-70's day, with dry air and cool calming breeze!

... I'm BAAAAaaack ... ... in the house and on-line ...power came back on this afternoon ... still about 77,000 + without power statewide ... As the Priest said today, "It is amazing what we take for granted ..."
At least tonight when I light the fireplace it will be for AMBIENCE ...
Another view of the hundreds of stuck vehicles in Suffolk County, Long Island, NY. This is RT 25 through the area near a walmart. Many have been stranded since yesterday evening! Many were rescued by the National Guard using snowmobiles. Near 30 inches of snow fell with drifts 5 feet or higher!

Tony glad to hear you're back with power. We had one flicker of our lights in nearby Johnston on Friday about 8 PM, but never lost power.
