Is your mic stand attached to your keyboard stand? Can't tell in the pic. Is there something attached to your mic stand? What are your speakers resting on?

Nice setup....concerns: single brace X stands always make me nervous vs a double X, stop .....secondly isn't the size & power of those speakers WAY OVERKILL for a small room like that? confused1.....otherwise Good luck with your new Rig Col.

Bill: Yes, the mic stand is attached, very neat, cost £15.00 (GBP) on eBay.

Donny: Ilike to entertain the neighbours when rehearsing. The speakers are 550w each, Behringer B212d's

They always seem to put me in the corner at Gigs and the rig fits
nicely.

Donny: No it's a sleeve that fits inside the X stand tube and when you tighten the large thumb screw it expands indide the x stand to lock the mic stand in place. If you look closely you can see the join between the two tubes.

About the only thing I might point out is, with the speakers oriented like that, you are throwing a significant amount of the horn at the ceiling and the floor! And losing a fair bit of side to side coverage. Particularly with the horn going into the ceiling, it is going to reflect back and alter the sound considerably, and diffuse the directional cues from the stereo mix.

Try orienting them back upright (with something under the front to tilt them up again a hair) and see if that doesn't tame the room a bit. If less of your horn isn't being wasted going into the floor of going straight up into the ceiling, you might find you don't need any extra highs, and can turn off any EQ (that always mucks the sound up somewhat).
