When you first released vArranger I remember reading that it was optimized for the Ketron SD2. Since that time, has there been any reprogramming specifically for use with the BK-7m as a sound module, or any other sound source?

The program sounds great, but as a hobbyist it would merit more consideration from me if I could enjoy it fully without investing in additional hardware or spending hours poring over a MIDI data list. Thanks!

Yep, you sure can Ted - simply load in the .ins file (created by Sonar, or there is one on the Roland website) ...reassign the patches in the styles, save the song...and off you go.

For example, I am using Roland styles with the Korg Kronos sound engine - Yamaha styles also work, but I prefer Roland Style programming.

You can even load in Roland G70, E80 styles if you like. Dan is working on the porting for actual BK7m styles. I ahve tried a few and I have not noticed too many issues, some timing glitches on chord change points, but Dan is already on it

I will release a software synth this week, to go with vArranger.

Sound will be very basic in the beginning, but then I will improve the sounds.

The software will be able to load SoundFonts SF2 too. (For now this feature is locked)

By the way, any good GM/GS/XG synth is able to play tons of styles.

One of my user is using vArranger + Roland Integra 7 sound module.

To add to Dans post, I am using it with Korg Kronos
