It depends what you're using it for. I could see using the Powerwerks PA50 with a T2 as a personal monitor at a gig, but not at home. For home, I'd want as much high fidelity as I could afford. I have the Logitech Z-2300 speakers, and I use them at home with my new Casio PX-350 digital piano. I have the satellites facing me diagonally and the subwoofer next to the piano. For this use, the sound quality is exceptional. I keep the bass turned down pretty low, and I still get a very thunderous lower register. I see that the new Logitechs get very nice reviews. If I were you, I would buy the new model. They're probably just as good as the old one. You can always find some self-identified audiophile who says one is better than the other. Used Z-2300s are available on the internet. For gigs, I would not use this unit because there are too many parts to set up, and the build quality of the satellites is cheap. The volume output is only adequate for a living room atmosphere, not much more.

I used the Z-2200 for many NH jobs, never had a problem. Gave the 2200 to my son when I purchased the Z-5500, which was a powerhouse system of 1,150-Watts RMS. I modified it by changing out the center speaker to a 6-inch PM speaker I had in the studio, changed the satellite speaker wires, and changed the speaker plugs and jacks to 1/4-inch phono. The modifications took very little time and cost next to nothing. The next modification was to mount the satellites on both sides of the center speaker and velcro the rig to the top of the sub-woofer. Worked like a champ, still works great and is currently connected to our big-screen TV in the family room. Our long time forum member, Poz, who passed away a few years ago, did a fantastic modification of the Z-5500, and made one for Scott Yee. To my knowledge, Scott is still using the system. Poz used it in a huge casino and said the system filled the entire casino with wonderful sound and he had numerous complements from everyone about the sound system. Good Luck, Gary
