Throw in a roadie to move it, I might go for a third G70!

Fran,
If you can get someone to buy my G-70, I'll buy your E-50.

Does anyone know how much a used E-50 goes for these days? How can it compare to a G-70 sound wise? not talking about features like after touch etc? I don't see many on Ebay these days.

Average selling price is about $600..
The sounds are compatible and similar to the G70, but not as detailed..
The G70 is richer and has more harmonic content to the samples...
Side by side you can tell the difference..But seperately the E50 sounds great..
The E50 does have the newer drum kits from the E80, that are not on the G70..

You're spot on with the description. The E50/60 lacks that definition and reachness in harmonics of the real deal, which was E80/G70...
Now, BK9 seems to be indeed a better MOTL (replacing E60 in thin sense), but it couldn't be a TOTL, as G70 sounds are still more detailed I think.
