Hello Roger,

A few years ago I listed all the Professional and other floppies I owned. I know this list is on one of my backup CDs, so will check to see what I have. I am sure there must be some 6/8 beats on at least one out of over 100 floppies. I'll let you know if I find any.

Many thanks Audrey - I was listening to a Korg PA3X today and heard exactly the rhythm I'm looking for - it is called on the Korg PA3X '60s slow rock' - can anyone help with this rhythm/style file?

Roger, there is a 60's Slow Rock in the Gigastyle collection that sounds like what you are talking about. It is 6/8 time, but the version that I have is for my Roland keyboards and it won't work with the KN's. If someone has the Gigastyle collection for Technics it would be there. Or, if someone can convert the version I have to Technics format I can make it available to them in Roland format.

OK it's on the way. There are several in 6/8 time. If this one converts to Technics OK, I'll send others if you wish.

Hi Roger,

If you go to www.psrtutorial.com website, you can get free converted Korg PA3X styles which can be played on the Technics and other keyboards including the Yamaha Tyros keyboards (one of which I think you have).

Just click on the 'STYLES' on their homepage, the rest is self explanatory. It's a great site and the members are so helpful and friendly.

Good luck!

Audrey

Yup - know it Audrey. Bob Hendershot has however sent me a Roland style file which I've converted and is just what I'm looking for - again many thanks Bob.

Glad you're sorted Roger.

I'm thinking of changing from Yamaha T4 and/or PSR950 in favour of the new 76 note Roland BK-9 but I'd like to try it first. Breve Music in Peterborough hare planning a Roland demonstration at 7.30pm on June 26 but unfortunately, I'm on holiday. Do you know anything about this keyboard? If so, I'd be grateful for your thoughts on it.

If you're a Technics fan then you really need to look at the Korg PA3X - it is the same sort of O/S and pretty intuitive. If I were to move on from my KN7000 that's the only one I'd choose.
No idea what the Rolands do or don't do and how they do it.
