Well, looks like my wife and I have made it. On July 7th we will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary! Taking my wonderful bride to Las Vegas for the big weekend and just gave her a brand new shiny 2013 Toyota Camry XLE for the occasion. I'am one of those guys who on a daily basis looks up and wonders "how on earth did I ever catch such a wonderful prize?" Actually, we have been together 55 years - dated for 5 years before getting married.
By the way, we are staying at Caesars and have gotten tickets for some big-time shows. My gosh, the prices have gone up since I was there last. Once played at the old Stardust for a year - most everything was free in those days - got you at the tables and slots.

Deanne and Glenda - CONGRATULATIONS !!! ... you beat me and Lydia by 4 + months ... ours is November 23rd ... married the day after JFK was killed ... As I said in another post, we went high end on the anniversary car - 2013 Caddy CTS4 - what the heck, it's only money ... ... It's really an amazing thing when you think about 50 years together ... I don't know about Glenda, but Lydia is headed for Sainthood ...
Have a GREAT time ...
"VIVA, VIVA, LAS VEGAS"
PS... hey Deanne ... can you remember what your wedding song was??? ... let me know and I will dedicate it to the both of you during my gig Saturday night ...

Happy Anniversary to both you and Glenda. After some of the family and medical challenges you have had...this is extremely joyous news. My favorite parties to play are family celebrations...anniversaries, birthdays and reunions. Wish I could've been there for yours. Eddie
Here we are at the party. What a wonderful surprise our kids laid on us. Sometimes we simply forget all the blessings in life we have been given. Thanks to everyone here for the kind words .
Tony, My wife said to tell you thanks. But we really need to thank everyone in this thread for the kind words. Both of us have families with very long lifetimes so we fully expect to make the 60th - we will see.
Well, I didn't play but I did grab my wife, haul her in front of the crowd, grabbed a mic, and sang two songs to her. Keyboard guy was pretty good - picked up on the key ASAP.
1. Thanks for the memories 2. You Made Me Love You
