All arranger companies should have video manuals before they are released!
I haven't watched this yet, but I'll bet it's better than what the other companies give you.

This is what I love about Korg. When they release the info on a new unit, they got video manuals already up on YouTube before the product even launches. They're good ones too. I agree, ALL of the makers should be doing this. It will help their sales BIG TIME because prospective buyers get to see the thing being USED, and not just some fly by sound demo.

In any case, Korg did a real good job at keeping the price point below $2000.

The pa800 costed (and still does) about $2800 !!

That, and the recent Bk9 should pave the way for the future. The prices of the past were ridiculous! A tyros costing $5299 ???!!!!!! and that's without speakers.... Ok, I know we can get it for less but still?

I hope the next yamaha will follow the way of korg and roland regarding price points.

Hi Guy`s ,

Geezz , it has been awhile !!

Anyway , I just got Keyboard Mag. e-mail and read about the new Korg Pa900.

Can it possibly be there is an under 2K arranger with semi-wieghted keys and aftertouch ?
That`s is what it states.

How is the key feel I wonder , you know me , without the right feel and action , it would be of no use to me !

I still have my Prelude , however , that Pa900 sure sounds sweet , so can someone please tell me if the key-bed and key feel is at least as good as my Prelude or the T-3 I had before ?

I know , it is weird , but I think the Prelude has really great action for a 1K arranger laugh

OK , so Hi , and Bye , for now laugh

Later smile

Gary

For a synth sized action, pretty impressed with the BK-9 action. A vast improvement over the BK-5 (keys about 1/2" longer), crisp, comfortable.

No aftertouch. TBH, not using it much any more. Since Roland axed the ability to control LFO speed with aftertouch, not really into it. Most of the time, a delayed LFO amount will do almost the same thing.

Having watched the Korg PA900 Video Manual, I can say I would be having a very serious argument with myself about whether to buy or not if I hadn't already bought the PSR-S950. wink

Well I have seen all the videos of the PA 900 so far, and must admit am rather disappointed, not with the PA 900 itself, (Which is up to the usual Korg standard) but the fact there was nothing new or innovative, with basically just hand me downs from the PA3x, (Even the PSR 950 had audio drums to brag about (Yes I know Yamahas implementation of them made them next door to useless but at least it was something new) so as to get users to open their wallet) hopefully the 1st update for it will add more. (Korg are renowned for adding features for free)

Also the screen, though improved, pales in comparison to the Fame G2000 which costs over 5 times less than the PA 900, so Korg definitely need to work on their screen hardware. (And not just Korg either)

Nice video demo on the new KORG PA900 should be a hit.....although I had the Pa3x a while ago, I'm sticking with the Yamaha S900 at this time it just sounds sooooo good.
